glossy, bright and fresh very-vintage Wood & Sons
Woods Ware
7"-ish dessert/pie plates in the
Old Bow Kakiyemon
(aka
Old Bow Blue
) pattern featuring the cutest little partridges. Perfect for your blue and white shabby-chic China collection. There is one photo of the front of each plate, some pointing out flaws, so you'll know exactly what to expect, condition-wise. Please see our store for more reasonably-priced vintage/antique blue and white China pieces. We're always happy to combine shipping at actual cost.
Condition
: Our photos show the condition best and are the most important part of the description. Please enlarge and zoom in on all of them to determine whether this set meets your needs and standards. Very clean, bright, and glossy pieces in shabby chic condition. All have crazing. None have cracks or silver/gray utensil marks. One has a very shallow chip on the lower right rim (see photo pointing to it) and another has two very light stains, one very small and one small (see photo pointing to them.) A third one has a tiny fleabite on the back side, at the rim, that is very hard to find and doesn't show from the front. There are a few scattered light, completely colorless, scratches to the glaze that can be seen only when they are held up to a direct source of light at just the right angle. Actually quite surprisingly few of these, considering their age.
We consider funky odors (cigarette smoke, mildew, etc) to be an important part of a condition report.
