    Description

This is a sculptured copper Buffalo that is in a shadowbox like oak frame.
It was done by Dan Kikl  and his bio is on the back: It says:
Dan Kihl is an artist and sculptor living in the rugged backcountry of Northwestern Arizona.  Inspired by the area's beauty, wildlife and Narive American heritage he has developed an unique sculptural process that captures the spirit of the Southwest.  Using thin sheets of copper, Dan laminates them to wood using a specfic adhesive.  Intricate designs and inlays are then cut by hand using a ting blade of a scroll saw.  The next step is to soak the cut desing in an acid bath.  The acid speeds up the natural aging proess, changing the color of the copper to a rich turquiose green.  Finally, the inlays are carefully glued back into place, creating a striking contrast between the natural and aged copper.
The frame is 16.5" x 13.5". It is all in mint condition.
