    This photograph is a picture of United States Marines that were some of of the first African Americans who joined the Marines when African Americans were first able to enlist in the United States Marine Corps;
    1  June 1942.
    New African American trainees
    began their training at a segregated newly constructed temporary camp at  Montford Point that was adjacent to Camp Lejeune, North Carolina.
    This Christmas card was commercially produced with a photo image as shown.  Constructed out of heavy card stock with a raised embossed border.
