The people in this image, for the most part, are focused on what one presumes to be some sort of acrobatic display, given the location.
The businesses shown are - “Frosty Cup” which shows itself to have been well ahead of its time in terms of misusing apostrophes (“Sundae’s” “Soda’s”) / “Silent Leo’s” with its “Speedy Fountain Service” and Jumbo Malts” / “Leo’s Place” (same Leo, presumably…?) with its Royal Crown Cola advertising sign and (blurry) popcorn machine just inside the door.
Handwritten in ink at the LR corner of the image is “H” “LES” “7/53”
Condition
- reasonably clear image but it’s not sharp; edges curled inward a bit; a few areas of mild surface wear; a few small stains on the front at LL; heavier soil/staining on the back.
